Welcome to Taniwha Jacket. These terms govern your use of the taniwhajacket.com website and your purchase of any products from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Orders
When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. We accept the offer when we send you a dispatch confirmation email — that's when the contract is formed. We may refuse to accept an order if the product is out of stock, we can't verify your payment, there's an obvious pricing error on the site, or we suspect fraudulent activity. If we refuse your order, we'll refund any payment in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable. We may change prices at any time, but changes won't affect orders we've already accepted. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments and is taken at checkout.
Pricing errors
We do our best to display prices accurately. If we discover a pricing error on an order we've accepted, we'll contact you and offer to either complete the order at the correct price or cancel and refund you in full.
Delivery
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Risk passes to you when the carrier delivers the product to your nominated address.
Returns and consumer rights
See our Returns and Refund policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Product descriptions and images
We do our best to show our products accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens. Product specifications (weight, fit, materials) are accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of listing.
Limitation of liability
Subject to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the site or any product is limited to the price you paid for the relevant product. We aren't liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
Intellectual property
All content on this site — including our logo, wordmark, designs, photography, and text — is owned by Taniwha Jacket Ltd. You're welcome to share our content on social media with credit. You can't copy, reproduce, or use our designs commercially without written permission.
Account terms
You're responsible for keeping your account password secure and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Prohibited use
You agree not to use the site to break the law, infringe anyone's intellectual property, send unsolicited marketing, or attempt to access the site's back-end or compromise security.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You can stop using the site at any time.
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on the site. If you have an outstanding order when we update, the terms in force at the time you ordered apply to that order.
